ABSTRACT

Phlebectasia of the internal jugular vein is a rare malformation of unknown etiology. It presents as a sacular dilatation of the vein, usually on the right side. It expands following any physical effort. We present four pediatric cases. The differential diagnosis, studied with various imaging methods, the current treatment and possible complications are discussed.
