ABSTRACT

Sirenomelia is a rare and fatal congenital malformation. It is characterized by the fusion of the lower extremities and it usually presents with other malformations such as, renal dysgenesia/agenesia, pulmonary hypoplasia, and other features from the caudal regression syndrome. In this article we present a case of sirenomelia in a 32-week preterm newborn and a brief literature review.
