ABSTRACT

We inform the study of a preterm newborn with suspicion of septic arthritis of the left shoulder according to the clinical manifestations. Hematologic and image studies were performed approaching the final diagnosis of osteomyelitis of left humeral head. There was a good response to the antibiotic treatment and he was monitored by hematological and radiological exams.
