Intramyocardial dissection with post infarct endocardial tear. Apropos of a case

ABSTRACT

Intramyocardial dissection is an uncommon complication of acute myocardial infarction. We present the case of a male patient aged 52, with two-weeks evolution of non-thrombolysed anteroseptal myocardial infarction, who underwent diagnosis by transthoracic echocardiography. Intramyocardial hematoma anteroapical subendocardial tear was also found. Conservative conduct was favorable with good clinical evolution up to one month after initial diagnosis.
