ABSTRACT
Thrombi are formed primarily in the left atrium, especially in dilated stenosis or atria, but is uncommon to find the presence of thrombus in the right atrium; thrombi in said cavity come more often from the peripheral venous circulation, but to a lesser extent, are originated in situ. Thrombogenic diseases may also be related to the thrombus. In Latin America, the incidence of deep vein thrombosis is one case per 1,000 people per year and pulmonary embolism incidence is 0.5 cases per 1,000 people per year. In this case report, a male patient aged 61 diagnosed with serpentine thrombus in the right atrium and rapid atrial fibrillation which was solved successfully with streptokinase is presented.REFERENCES
