ABSTRACT

Dentinogenic ghost cell tumor is a rare neoplasm; it is the counterpart of the calcified odontogenic cyst. It is locally invasive and is characterized by islands of epithelial cells without nuclei known as “ghost” cells, resembling ameloblastomas in a stroma of mature connective tissue. We describe the case of a male patient of 31 years of age, with a manifestation of 2 months’ evolution, with increased volume of the left corner of the jaw and pain when chewing. The treatment applied was full resection with histologically clean margins.
