ABSTRACT

The creation of optimal conditions for problem-based situations is one of the most important tasks of the problem-based teaching and at the same time one of the major restrictions of the professors at the time of implementing it. As part of the objective of encouraging the use of this didactic system as a viable methodological alternative in Cuban higher education, the present article was intended to offer recommendations or to provide methodological for the preparation of problembased situations. To this end, the paper specified the factors on which they depend, the requirements that they should fulfill the fundamental types and the forms of presentation of the contradictions in the teaching contents for the creation of these situations, with examples given in morphophysiology subject. Theoretical methods were mainly used, such as historical-logical approach, analysis-synthesis and induction-deduction, and modeling.
