ABSTRACT
The use of the rat as an experimental model for laparoscopic surgery, allows the surgeon to obtain great variety of minimally invasive skills, that is why it is an excellent model for training due to it’s proven effectiveness and low cost. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the use of AESOP (Computer Motion, Goleta California) in this model and evaluate if it offers additional advantages over the conventional mechanical support.
AESOP Automated endoscopic system for optimal positioning.
