ABSTRACT

The emergence and development of the Medicine and Stomatology schools belonging to the Medical Sciences Faculty of Oriente University in Santiago de Cuba has constituted a topic of repeated historical mistake, so, it is necessary to expose all elements which clarify much wider definitions on university structure, and particularly on the constitution of new faculties. These elements are exposed in this work, which will contribute to correct mistaken statements, and it will be a historical document to be taken into account when talking about these events.
