ABSTRACT

Clinical Bioanalysis Career of Health Technology Faculty came out in the year 2010 due to the necessity that the country had to form technologists in this new specialty. This career is the result of four technical specialties: Clinical Laboratory, Transfusional Medicine, Cytohistopathlogy and Microbiology. For the formation of this new model of technologist, English specific purpose program was designed in which the content and the teaching literature of this are according to the objectives of each specialty , but not according to the for a Clinical Bioanalysis Technologist.
For that reason the objective of this article is to inform the updating situation of English VI program to health technology students and professors in Clinical Bioanalysis career. It also referred to the importance of English specific purpose for the professionals in health, in this case for Clinical Bioanalysis career and the necessity to redesign the present English program and to elaborate a teaching literature that facilitates the english learning.
