ABSTRACT
Scoliosis surgical indications in patients with single functional ventricle and type bidirectional cavopulmonary anastomosis (ACPB) Glenn type are the increase in the scoliosis curve accompanied by back pain and impaired cardiorespiratory parameters. Postoperative morbidity and mortality of these patients is high, due to the onset of cardiac arrhythmias and a high risk of thrombotic events. We present a 17 years old female with Glenn type BCPA who underwent scoliosis surgery and who suffered recurrent thromboembolic events during the immediate postoperative care in spite of anticoagulation treatment.
