ABSTRACT

On drug prescriptions in Pediatric, the taste is an important feature in the drugs. In an observational, descriptive and comparative study, two type of dicloxacilin and a first generation cephalosporin were given to 18 college students. The results showed better acceptance to cephalexin (Keflex) 94.4%, followed by dicloxacillin (Posipen) 22.2%. The more bitter was the dicloxacillin (Brispen) with 66.6% of non-acceptance. Although this study was conducted in young adults, the results can be useful when prescribing such drugs to children.
