ABSTRACT

The rehabilitation of the patient amputee of lower limbs is a process in which includes physical handling, psychological, occupational and not a simple restitution of the amputee member. The global treatment must be considered as a dynamic endless procedure, that begins in the moment of the injury and endless until the patient it has reached the maximum utility of your prosthesis and it is capable of carry out the main activities of the daily life and to occupy an employment. In Cuba, the high prevalence of diabetes mellitus, arterial obstructive illnesses and accidents of transit each time is more frequent the attention of patients amputated in rehabilitation's centers. The present article tries to get establish a rule of treatment by organizing the available information as for the rehabilitation of amputees patients of lower members as format of protocol of action, based on the evidence.
