ABSTRACT
Development of a person is the «growth» of all his/her possibilities and capabilities, which involves the development of intelligence and will, the cultivation of good feelings, and the education of instincts. This development must be integral, that is, it should encompass all the capabilities mentioned and these should remain subject to the intelligence and will. The present is an opinion and review article where we define social development and its different conceptions, trying to understand the limitations of each.
