Use of homeopathic drugs to control pain, inflammation and bleeding in dental extractions

ABSTRACT

An analytical, case-control study of patients who were indicated dental extractions was carried out with the objective of applying homeopathic drugs in order to counteract the most frequent complications such as pain, inflammation and bleeding; Hypericum perforatum, Arnica montana and Phosphorus (30 CH) were indicated pre-,trans- and post-operatory. Bleeding was registered as absent, slight and moderate categories; pain manifestations predominated in the slight and absent categories in the study group and inflammation did not show considerable differences.
