Key words:

baby boomers, millennials.

ABSTRACT

Baby boomers are a group of people who were born during the demographic post World War II baby boom (1945-1964); they are people of traditional values, nonconformists, financially secure and great leaders. On the other hand millennials, also known as Generation Y, refer to the generation of people born between 1981-2000; 20 years before the change of millennium. They have been regarded as being more open-minded, confident, self-expressive and receptive to new ideas and ways of living. Despite the differing working styles of these two generations, they have proved to be an asset if managed correctly; baby boomers could be those who inculcate in millennials an appropriate vision about work values, take decisions and compromise. Furthermore, millennials with their professional initiative complement baby boomers with technological knowledge and new ideas ending up building a great team.
