ABSTRACT

The purpose of this research was to assess gender differences regarding some dimensions of sexual experimentation. A sample of 306 students from a private university from Mexico City participated in the study. The sample consisted of 135 men and 161women, their age ranged from 18 to 28 years. The SESU questionnaire was used to collect the data. The instrument assessed the following sexual behaviors: masturbation, pornography, casual sex, orgasm, sex communication and intercourse. Results showed that the most sex behaviors assessed in the study were more frequent in male participants. Results were discussed in terms of their similarities with the research literature on the subject, and in terms of the construct´s limitations.
