Reflections about the possibility of a contemporary ethics

ABSTRACT

Considering the moral credibility crisis, which characterizes our time as well as the need to review moral issues, are described in this paper the contribution that Platon, Aristotle, Hume Heidegger, Husserl, Wittgenstein, and recently Zubiri, have done between others philosophers, regarding ethics. In this context, aspects such as respect, alterity, silence, language, with emphasis in distinction between Philosophic Ethic and First Ethic are approached, reviewed and contrasted.
Following this line of thought, it is concluded that different ethical problems compel to reconsideration of men as a being able to give and not just to have, being necessary refound the origin of his capacity to give. In that way, in our current time, application of a first philosophy to the fact analysis could contribute to the approachment of ethical problems from whichever single or collective praxis situation.
