ABSTRACT

Madness is a generic name used to point out a fact probably observed since prehistorical times and well documented in the historical papers. The man in his knowledge’s way, little by little, has been able to establish classifications which in the last times have permitted to connottate and denottate one of the aspects of this fact which presently is known as schizophrenia. This illnes has been focus of special attention by some people and specially and specifically by psychiatry. Some ways are delineated in this paper, in order to know the impact that this illness can produce over the society and the trascendence of this fact.
