ABSTRACT

Objectives: To assess family functioning through the Instrument for Clinical Classification of Functional Family Stadium (CCFamEF). Material and methods: Observational, descriptive, cross-sectional study. All the families that attended the Family Therapy service of the Gustavo A. Madero Clinic of the Institute of Social Security and Services of the Workers of the State of Mexico were studied during the period from March 1 to November 1, 2014. Results: Twenty families were studied. The average age of the members of the families was 27.70 years + 15.70. Sex: women 60% and men 40%. 17 families (85%) were in a non-normative crisis, the rest 3familias (15%) were in a regulatory crisis. Of the families that attended the Family Therapy service requesting a change in their way of life 15 (75%) had no real disposition to work on it. Of the 20 families that attended, we found equality in two of the proposed stages of classification, 4 families (20%) were found to have a primary dysfunction without change and therapeutic work, 4 families (20%) were classified As chaotic without change. Conclusions: It was found that all the families studied were found in dysfunctional stages, which can be explained because it is a concentration service for the open population. The CCFamEF is useful for making decisions in the practice of family therapy.
