ABSTRACT

The cathedra "Prevention of Drug Addiction" University of Medical Sciences Guantanamo was first created on the subject of drug prevention Cuban Medical Universities on 11 November 2001. This work recreates the actions of this chair for 15 years, has revealed the main objectives, functions, composition of it and the results obtained by the working groups in the work with and for students of different races and years of studies, all Guantanamo universities. Intersectoral participation is exposed, with the participation of health professionals, education, justice, MININT and mass organizations, in addition to community participation in Pastorita and the Popular Councils, South San Justo municipality Isleta Guantanamo.
