ABSTRACTOrbital cellulitis is a school age pathology and rarely corresponds to the neonatal period. It is a pathology which if not diagnosed on time may cause cavernous sinus thrombophlebitis, meningoencephalitis, cause ocular motility disorders, sight reduction, blindness or even death. We present a case of a female newborn that began with a protrusion of the left eye to whom it was diagnosed orbital cellulitis with an abscess.
