ABSTRACT

Mexico needs to fully enter a stage of innovative application of knowledge, where information obtained by the scientific and technological development will lead to technological applications and obtaining patents and applications directly involved with the investment made in science and technology. So far the data shows that there is a dissociation between both parameters, and making it seem that investment in science and technology innovation feeds the development of other countries, continuing to be an eminently manufacturer in these areas. The data and information available are presented and discussed throughout the paper.
