ABSTRACT

We labell sulforhodamine 101 (SR 101) with radionuclides betta and gamma emisors for the diagnosis and treatment of astrocytomes craneal tumors. We make the clasical test of radiocrhomathography, radiopharmaceutical and genetical probes in experimental animals with good results, so we can take scans of astrocytomes and other craneal tumors in 14 cases and only the astrocytomas take the SR 101 and give “positive” centelleographies (fig. 1) (4 cases). Also in 2 selected cases of astrocytoma (non quirurgical) we give terapehutical doses of SR 101 gamma emisor with good results in one year of follow-up and in a harmless form. because of the encorageous results and the non adverse reaccions we propoused the SR 101 radiopharmaco for the early diagnoses and treament of the astrocyhtomes.
