ABSTRACTThe dating violence is considered a public health problem worldwide with high incidence in Mexico. Th e younger age groups have higher prevalence of this phenomenon and to stop this problem, we must recognize the patterns of violence between them. If a teen only lives violent relationships, establish and may become the only ones that will in a lifetime. Th e relations of violence are constructed and socially and culturally learned from the home and in institutions such as school, church and media. Physical, psychological / emotional and sexual are recognized as the three main types of abuse in couples. Where the most common is psychological or emotional. Th e purpose of this paper is to analyze some aspects of violence in dating that allow an approach of the phenomenon as a public health problem.
