ABSTRACT

Introduction: Pasini and Pierini’s atrophoderma (PPA) is a rare process described for the first time by Pasini (1923) and Pierini and Vivoli in 1936. Clinically it is characterized by depressed plaques that range from a few millimeters to several centimeters. It is usually a bilateral and symmetric process. To our knowledge this is the fourth unilateral case described. Case description: An 18-year-old patient who consulted for asymptomatic hyperpigmented spots with progressive onset in the trunk and lower limb, the lesions were asymptomatic and progressively appeared. Conclusions: We present a case of PPA atrophy with a unilateral distribution, in our review of the literature we have only found three previous cases.
