ABSTRACT

In this article, images by cortical renal scintigraphy with 99mTc-DMSA from a 6-year-old girl with a history of multiple urinary tract infections, including pyelonephritis, in addition to double ureter are presented. With scintigraphy significant decrease in the size of the right kidney, multiple renal scarring and decreased renal function was observed. Finally the indications for conducting such studies are discussed.
