A giant ovarian cystadenoma in a newborn girl. A case report

ABSTRACT

A newborn girl with an abdominal tumor, found by an echosonographic study in the 39 week of gestation, is reported. Once she was born the presence of the tumor was confirmed by echosonography and tomography; with these information, in regard to its localization, size, density and other issues, the surgeon decide the intervention in order to extirpate the tumor. The histopathologic diagnosis was: serous cystadenoma.
