ABSTRACT

Cheilitis is a disease of the lips that could develop acutely or chronically and that could have many causes. One of which could be related with drug eruptions. The most frequent morphology of drug eruptions is morbilifom, which presents with erythematous macules or papules days after the use of a drug, in some cases it can even compromise the mucous tissue. Besides, these eruptions could be provoked or aggravated by ultraviolet light.
Next, a case will be presented, in which an 80 year old patient presents with a history of skin disease that is confined to the lips and has evolved for several months, also it did not get better with any drug and its cause was unknown.
