ABSTRACT

Inxtroduction: skin aging is characterized by dryness, spots, wrinkles and laxity of facial skin. In addition, a decrease in the repair processes of connective tissue and its components, such as hyaluronic acid. There are different options for the treatment of skin aging, being stabilized hyaluronic acid (ah) (Restylane SkinBoosters® vital lidocaine) an excellent therapy to improve the texture of the skin.
Objective: to evaluate the response obtained in patients treated with Restylane Skinboosters Vital Lidocaine® applied to the face for the treatment of skin aging.
Materials and methods: we included all patients treated with stabilized hyaluronic acid in our hospital during three years. 1 ml was applied intradermally in the whole face per session completing a total of three sessions, with intervals of four weeks. Patient satisfaction was assessed through a questionnaire. In addition, a professional analysis was carried out at the end of the treatment evaluating the luminosity, fine wrinkles, and skin texture.
Results: the patients showed a high level of satisfaction and good tolerance to treatment. The best results observed were luminosity, fine wrinkles, and skin texture.
Conclusions: the stabilized hyaluronic acid stimulates the production of collagen, restores the hydric balance of the skin, improving its structure and elasticity. It is an effective and safe treatment, with natural results for the rejuvenation of the skin. It can be used alone or combined with other treatments.
