ABSTRACT
Myoepithelioma is considered by the World Health Organization as a benign neoplasm of the salivary glands composed by distinct myoepithelial cells. It represents 1.5% of all benign tumors, appearing in a 2.2% in minor salivary glands. This neoplasm is relatively rare found in children and adolescents, since reports an age range from 9 to 85 years of age with a peak in the third decade of life without gender predilection. The correct diagnosis of the myoepithelioma is important for definitive treatment so their histopathological examination is required to rule out a malignant behavior.
Objective: This is a case of a female patient of 7-year-old showed a nodular lesion in the palate with osseous resorption with one of evolution, making surgical resection and resulting myoepithelioma without recurrence data definitive histopathological diagnosis in its tracking.
