ABSTRACT

Temporomandibular joint disorders can provoke pain, sternness and mobility restriction. New therapeutic perspective of the actual regenerative medicine, allow restoring morphofuntionally body´s damage structures. A bibliographic review was performed to identify new information about the stem cell implantation as treatment for temporomandibular joint disorders. 25 bibliography about this topic were analyzed. Stem cell implantation as treatment for temporomandibular joint disorders is possible and it was clinically demonstrated in many parts of the world that are precursors of this therapy, while in others parts this is only a possibility because they still are in laboratory studies.
