ABSTRACT

Among the huge number of current issues related to the current scientifictechnological development is undoubtedly the use of non-invasive mechanical ventilation (NIMV) as a measure of life support. Although it is not a specific work that presents a complete and accurate picture of each one of the problems related to the use of it. Authors intend with the article to make a brief reflection on the subject from the perspective of science, technology and society at the present time, so that it constitutes a useful framework for the examination of these issues, debate, reflection and exchange of opinions in the context of health services.
