Reporte de dos casos clínicos de quiste del rafe medio del pene

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this article is to report and describe 2 cases of male patients, from the Institute of Dermatology of Jalisco, “Dr. José Barba Rubio” who developed middle raphe cyst of the penis. A 7-year-old child and a 25-year-old adult come to the dermatological consultation, proceeding to the relization of the clinical history and the physical exploration of the penis by a specialist in dermatology, due to the presence of a cystic lesion in the dermis at the time both he performs the surgical removal and histopathology is sent to the excised tissue. The postsurgical diagnosis of the middle raphe cyst of the penis is confirmed in both cases by a pseudostratified columnar epithelium, which does not connect with the underlying superficial epithelium. In whose cavity the presence of mucoid content is evident. The lesion was surgically removed, evolving satisfactorily with complete aesthetic correction and absence of complications, with follow-up programming.
The possibility of diagnosing congenital anomalies should always be considered in patients who show an asymptomatic increase in the mean raphe of the penis because a wrong diagnosis can lead to an inadequate treatment that can produce sequelae.
