ABSTRACT
Background: The actions of early detection of arterial hypertension, timely treatment and control, originate important benefits in the health system, the economy and the population. Objective: To evaluate an educational intervention to improve the application of the recommendations in diagnosis and pharmacological treatment of the guide of clinical practice of arterial hypertension (GPC-HAS) in health units for the first level of attention in Hidalgo, Mexico. Material and methods: A quasi-experimental study was carried out with baseline-final measurement to quantify the effects of an educational intervention in medicine and nursing staff of health centers. Six processes indicators and one result of the GPC-HAS recommendations (2014) were elaborated. The square chi was used for the quantitative variables for the application of the related tests (Mc Nemar test). Results: five processes indicators comply with 100% of the records and only one of them is met in 89%. There is a significant change in the compliance of the indicator of the outcome of patients with HAS in control with p› 0.004. Discussion: The indicators of compliance with the recommendations developed to evaluate the implementation of the CPG-HAS allows to identify improvements in the registry of correct procedures related to the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Conclusions: Develop more complex studies that show the real impact of educational interventions on the care process and control of hypertension.REFERENCES
