ABSTRACT

Polymorphous light eruption (PLE) is a skin disease related to ultraviolet radiation, and thus it is usually present in anatomical areas that are exposed to sunlight. Its morphology can vary from one person to another; however, it usually presents itself with only one form on a single patient; the most common of which is the papular variant. There is a higher prevalence of this disorder in people with white skin and in females, while climate and latitude are also contributing factors.
