ABSTRACT

Pancreatic pseudocyst occurs as a complication of both acute and chronic pancreatic pathologies. Therapeutic options for drainage include laparotomy or laparoscopic cystogastrostomy, percutaneous drainage, and endoscopyguided drainage. The determination of the therapeutic approach depends on both the characteristics of the patient and the pancreatic pseudocyst, in order to choose the most appropriate technique to achieve optimal resolution and results. Endoscopy-guided drainage has gained importance for its favorable results, standing out as the gold standard method.
