Scurvy in children. A case report

ABSTRACT

The case of a malnourished child whom was hospitalized by diarrhea, and a syndrome of social deprivation, is reported. He was hospitalized and due to the clinical data and the radiological findings the diagnosis of scurvy was carried out. The clinical and radiological remission of the abnormal data, after the acid ascorbic administration, confirmed the diagnosis. A review of the topic is made.
