ABSTRACT
The purpose of this brief review is to upgrade the reader about the recent advances in the clinical diagnosis and the treatment of cerebral abscess in children. Emphasis is done in the mechanisms of bacterial dissemination, in the diagnosis and the medical and surgical treatment of these patients.
