ABSTRACT
The purpose was to evaluate the usefulness of the application of the lingual frotis for the diagnosis of noninsulin dependent type II diabetic patients; 150 patients between 40 and 60 years old divided in 3 groups were tested I) patients with 120 mL/dL values, II) values 121-200 mL/dL, III) values of none 200nL/dL cytology and venopunction were carried out to every patient getting cellular average. Frost ripening index, it was determined the amount of basal, intermediate and superficial cells, checking 10 fields with an optic and ocular microscope 40x determining the amount of cells for every patient and every group.
Eosinophil index observing the interminate cells, Fold index was determined the amount of cells with appearance of gathering, agglutination index cells attached by their edges. It was found different values for each instance and group, but they were not significant statistically. The values as a whole of the superficial, interminate and deep cells to each group, were not statistical significant but defined the glucose condition of every individual.
