ABSTRACT

The aim of the present article is to carry out a historical and theoretical journey on the use and conceptualization of functional analysis of behavior and its application in the therapeutic process. Throughout history in the behavioral psychological clinic, a discrepancy can be seen in the conceptualization of behavioral analysis, which has led to an extensive debate on whether there is only one way to apply and develop it in a clinical case. In addition to this, the training of the psychologist can complicate the understanding of the scientific background of behavioral analysis, if he does not know it or does not share the position.
