ABSTRACT

The presentation and diagnosis of a diaphragmatic hernia during adulthood is infrequent, when associated with pregnancy there is high risk of complications such as intestinal occlusion, respiratory distress and maternal death. In this case report we describe the clinical presentation and treatment of a pregnant woman diagnosed with a traumatic diaphragmatic hernia, the maternal and perinatal results are discussed.
