ABSTRACT

The ameloblastic carcinoma is one of the malignant tumors odontogenic so Little comun in the odontologic ambit, being the malignant part of ameloblastoma. There a few cases reported in literature, it reported only 100 cases. It can be defined as an odontogenic malignancy that combines the histological features of ameloblastoma with cytological atypia independiently if exist metastasis or not. It occurs about 1-3% of all odontogenic tumours. The range of age is large, but the average age is 30 years, it has a predilection to male and it’s most frequent location is in the mandibular posterior body and ascending ramous. The diagnostic it must to be radiografic, clinic and histology. Treatment has to be aggressive and its prognosis is poor. We report a case of an ameloblastic carcinoma of 12 years of evolution.
