ABSTRACTProgesterone is a hormone that has multiple functions and although it has been already more than 80 years was isolated for the first time, is a molecule that has been described recently as its effects and mechanisms action. Today has many applications in different conditions of gynecology and obstetrics: such as threatened abortion, preterm birth prevention, menstrual disorders, luteal phase support, infertility and its various treatments of high or low complexity so it is very interesting to know the different compounds and their behavior once they enter the body so it will review its pharmacokinetic aspects.
