Prevalencia de lesiones meniscales y condrales observadas en reconstrucción de ligamento cruzado anterior en atletas de 20 a 35 años

RESUMEN

Objetivo: el propósito de este estudio fue analizar la incidencia y características de las lesiones meniscales y condrales asociadas a la ruptura del ligamento cruzado anterior (LCA), según el tiempo transcurrido entre la lesión y su reconstrucción quirúrgica. Material y métodos: se realizó un estudio observacional, retrospectivo y transversal en pacientes de 20 a 35 años con actividad deportiva, intervenidos mediante reconstrucción artroscópica del LCA entre marzo de 2022 y marzo de 2024 en un hospital privado. Se incluyeron 71 pacientes: 62 (87.3%) operados antes de las 24 semanas de la lesión y nueve (12.7%) después de este tiempo. Resultados: no se encontraron diferencias estadísticamente significativas entre los grupos en cuanto a edad (p = 0.372), presencia de lesiones meniscal medial (p = 0.821), lateral (p = 0.145), condropatía (p = 0.262), ni en los tratamientos aplicados. Conclusión: el tiempo quirúrgico no mostró relación significativa con la frecuencia o localización de las lesiones asociadas. Este trabajo aporta evidencia clínica útil sobre el abordaje temprano y tardío de la lesión del LCA en población joven y activa.
