Hemangioma cavernoso rectosigmoideo como causa infrecuente de sangrado digestivo bajo. Reporte de caso

RESUMEN
Introducción: dentro de las causas menos frecuentes de hemorragia
digestiva baja se encuentra el hemangioma cavernoso rectosigmoideo,
una lesión vascular congénita, generalmente benigna, que se manifiesta
por lo general como rectorragia crónica recurrente.
Caso clínico:
se presenta un caso de hemangioma cavernoso rectosigmoideo en
paciente joven, asociado a anemia ferropénica refractaria a manejo
médico. Tras la evaluación clínica e imagenológica, se decidió proceder
con resección ultrabaja de recto y sigmoide por laparoscopia, con
anastomosis coloanal e ileostomía de protección como tratamiento
definitivo.
Conclusión: los hemangiomas rectales deberían ser diagnósticos
diferenciales en pacientes con sangrado gastrointestinal bajo
de larga data, especialmente en adultos jóvenes que no responden
satisfactoriamente al manejo médico, con el fin de dar un manejo
oportuno y evitar complicaciones.
