Queratitis por herpes simple

RESUMEN

El herpes virus simple es uno de los virus más frecuentemente adquiridos por los seres humanos, el cual puede infectar tejidos oculares y provocar queratitis. Las infecciones recurrentes por herpes virus simple son una de las principales causas de ceguera infecciosa en países industrializados. La queratitis se clasifica en: queratitis epitelial infecciosa, queratopatía neurotrófica, queratitis estromal y endotelitis. Esta nos ayuda a elegir el manejo ideal para cada paciente.
