ABSTRACT

Herpes simplex virus is one of the most common virus acquired by humans, which can infect ocular tissues and cause keratitis. The recurrent infections by herpes simplex virus are one of the leading causes of infectious blindness in industrialized countries. Keratitis is classified as infectious epithelial keratitis, neurotrophic keratopathy, stromal keratitis and endothelitis. It helps choosing the best treatment for each patient.
