De los daños asociados o resultantes de la intervención anestésica en el período perioperatorio las reacciones anafilácticas son un problema que cada vez más preocupa y ocupa al anestesiólogo, lo anterior debido a que este período representa una situación única durante la cual los pacientes están expuestos a múltiples sustancias y fármacos que pueden desencadenarlas y poner en peligro la vida del paciente.
