Durante los últimos 30 años la separación de las células sanguíneas in vivo, refiriéndose a aféresis, ha tenido gran importancia tanto en los programas de donación como en los terapéuticos. Los avances tecnológicos en las máquinas de aféresis han hecho que estos procedimientos sean seguros, rápidos y más efectivos.¹
